Clothing Bank Attendant - Loves, blesses, and assists our neighbours in helping them with their clothing needs, in Jesus' name. They also hang and sort clothing and keep the room organized and tidy. Learn more.
Community Meal Server - Love and bless our neighbours by serving them a meal, in Jesus’ name. They prepare and serve food in order to minister to those coming for a monthly community meal. Learn more.
Drop-In Food Services Assistant - Love, bless, and assist neighbours by hosting them as they come to the West Campus. They offer neighbours food, coffee, and tea, set up and clear the café, and engage in meaningful conversations with them. Learn more.
Drop-In Friend - Love, bless and assist our neighbours by hosting them as they come to the Monday Night Gathering. They connect with people and engage in meaningful conversations with them. Lear more.
Food Bank Assistant - Love, bless and assist Centre Street Church neighbours in helping them with their food needs, in Jesus’ name. They also build and distribute the food hampers to those in need. The West Campus is a depot for the Calgary Food Bank. Learn more.
First Step Life Journey Facilitator - Has the first meeting with those who are new to Compassionate Ministries and beginning a journey, initially around a practical need. They facilitate an assessment to see if there are other ways that Centre Street can help the neighbour. Learn more.
Life Budget Journey Facilitator - Meets with neighbours who desire assistance, connection or support in an ongoing way. They use a “Life Budget” as a centerpiece for a second meeting in order to further assess their situation and devise an action plan. The focus of this meeting and its process is life change predicated on fullness of life and ongoing discipleship. Learn more.
Life Journey Follow Up Facilitator - Contacts neighbours in order to continue the ongoing relationships that began with First Step and Life Budget appointments. Learn more.
Cafe Greeter - Loves, blesses, and assists visitors by hosting them as they come to the West Campus and offering them food, coffee, and tea; setting up and clearing the café; and engaging in meaningful conversations with them. Learn more. From Web
Compassionate Friends (CF) Mentor - Exists to, with reliance upon God’s guidance and provision, mentor low income “neighbors” throughout the Calgary area, aiming to be part of the process of guiding them to positive, lasting life change, so that Jesus’ desire “that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10), both now and forever, may be fulfilled.
